Lee Totten is a musician, writer
and father. For the past 8
years, he's been perhaps best
known as "The Jager Guy" thanks to
a catchy little song about Jagermeister.
He is a voting member of the
Grammy’s (National Academy
of Recording Arts & Sciences)
and a songwriting member of
ASCAP (American Society of Composers,
Authors & Publishers). He
has commercially released two
full-length CDs and is currently
at work on his third. Over the
past five years he has performed
over 900 shows throughout the
United States and appeared with
acts such as Everclear, Third
Eye Blind and Barenaked Ladies.
He is one of a select number
of performers formally sponsored
by Jagermeister, and has showcased
at the Boston/NEMO Music Conference,
the Philadelphia Music Conference
and the Burlington Music Conference.
His music will appear in the
new Pauly Shore feature and
has been licensed by the Oxygen
Network. In 1996, Lee was one
of only 12 songwriters chosen
to participate in the ASCAP
Advanced Songwriter’s
Workshop and has subsequently
participated in both the ASCAP
and Grammy mentor programs.
He has been nominated for numerous
local and regional music awards.
As
a writer, Lee holds a Bachelor’s
degree in English with a concentration
in Philosophy. Throughout
college he authored a popular
biweekly humor column for
the campus newspaper. He spent
three years as associate editor
of Trackside Magazine, a regional
auto racing publication where
he also contributed regular
columns on the issues and
personalities of Northeast
motorsports. His humor/commentary
columns regularly appeared
in The New Leader, a local
weekly in central Massachusetts,
and he contributed several
features to Stock Car Racing
Magazine, an international
auto racing publication.
For the past six, he has
been writing
‘Ramblings’ on
a biweekly basis as an extension
of the LeeTotten.com website
to a devoted audience of
subscribers. It has allowed
fans of Lee’s
music to also explore his
cynical wit, insightful
commentary, and tongue-in-cheek
view of modern life.
